Brief History

• Utcon Engineers was started by Mr. N.M. Udgaonkar and Mr. V. S. Tambe in 1983 to provide design and consultancy services to manufacturing companies.
• Early focus was on development and adaptation of Special Purpose Machines to suit the requirements of the Indian market.
• Started manufacture of material handling systems in 1989.
• Incorporated as a private limited company in 1995.
• Shifted to current premises in Bhosari in 1998.
• Greater focus on automation and delivery of integrated systems.
• ISO 9001:2000 Certification in 2005.
• Introduction of Intelligent Handling Devices to the Indian Market for the first time in 2006.
• Export orders from China and Saudi Arabia.
